Charlize Theron Stars In 'Young Adult'; Actress Plays Alcoholic Writer In New Comedy (PHOTO)

Even though there's another "Bridget Jones" in the works, she might have some competition.

Jason Reitman, who's churned out quirky, colorful hits like "Thank You For Smoking" and "Juno" is now working on another cute-titled film, "Young Adult."

The just released poster is designed like a very convincing Judy Blume book hammering home the focus of the film, which is about a young adult novelist. However, she's not so PG, here Theron has a taste for booze.

In a fit on nostalgia, returns to her stomping grounds to woo an old crush but soon realizes that sometimes you can't go home again. Theron's one-time crush (Patrick Wilson) is married with a child and leads her to reconnect with a forgotten classmate (Patton Oswalt).

While the premise sounds like a fun fusion between "Garden State" and "Bridget Jones's Diary," do you think that the beauty will be able to pull off such a different role?
