The recent IFA Consumer Electronics Unlimited Conference, which began in Berlin, Germany on September 2 and wrapped on September 7, featured personal and home tech from around the world.

This year, visitors to the huge expo were treated to a host of iPad competitors, many of them running Google's Android software, from makers like Sony and Samsung; television sets, some with 3D displays and other remarkable concept features, from Philips, LG and others; as well as smartphones, kitchen appliances and a few oddities that will leave you scratching your head.

Check out the best gadgets from IFA 2011 (below).

If you've ever had the urge to draw on your TV but don't want to ruin it, LG has an LCD made just for you.

Writes Laptop Mag:
The $2,199 set lets users draw on the screen via a digitizer, and there's also 3D capability and 2D-to-3D conversion. For those who don't need 3D, there's a less-expensive version selling for $1,699 and a 50-inch model for $1,099. [...] Once your computer is connected to the 60-inch monitor via HDMI, you can draw, scribble, and write memos on the display via the two included digitizers. LG includes a generous amount of programs optimized to work with stylus input: Gallery, Family Diary, Photo Editor, Sketchbook, and-of course-the Internet. There's also one-click printing, assuming you have a printer configured and connected.

These computer companies used to rook us out of money as they continually outdated our computers, inserting the idea that what we had was no longer good enough. It was such a relief when new windows finally came to a definate slowdown after the bomb of vista. Now we are getting rooked with all of this new nonsense every other week. And people keep buying and buying and buying. Where do they get all of this money to keep rebuying computers in so many forms and what do they need all of this for? For about two weeks, a majority of commercials had someone forcing an ipad in your face. I just turned the tv off. How many millions of people were brainwashed into running out to get an ipad? What a brainless society this has become.

I have an ipod. Does that count? The rapidity (speed) with which man travels today is earth shattering. But leave it to man to find a "faster" way to HELL. It cracks me up. Do I got money? You ain't heard of me so...People are seekin' the oom-galla-galla of the melanin-challenged wealthy. But we dream the impossible dream. Unless you know GOD. With HIM all things are possible. But if you're laughin'? Cool. HELL ain't.

I care for clients that can't change the channel on the TV set so that headset that reads your choices may be just the thing.

I'm a big fan of Windows 7 and the computer operating systems, but whoever is incharge of their phone department should be fired. They need to do something NEW like apple did with the touch. No wonder they're failing so hard along with most every phone maker was before android.

Listen my Brotha. It is, what it is. No one asks how one feels about it. I'm the "do-er" as opposed to the "do-ee". If you follow me? If not? Be's that way sometimes.

I still have black & white TVs, just in case color ever goes out of fashion and black & white comes back in. That was a lie. I just don't want to get rid of them.
