'Tea Party Zombies Must Die' Video Game Lets Players Kill Off Conservatives

The Huffington Post   First Posted: 09/07/11 11:31 AM ET Updated: 11/07/11 05:12 AM ET

A new video game is giving players a chance to explore a post-apocalyptic Fox News studio and kill off zombies that resemble famous conservatives including Michele Bachmann, Sarah Palin, Newt Gingrich, Rick Santorum, Bill O’Reilly and Glenn Beck.

The game, called "Tea Party Zombies Must Die," is project by StarvingEyes Advergaming, a website that provides games for online viral campaigns.

Other characters in the first-person shooter include the "Generic Pissed Off Old White Guy Zombie," the "Pissed Off Stupid White Trash Redneck Birther Zombie" and the "Express Racist Views Anonymously On The Internet Modern Klan Zombie," who dons the remains of a KKK robe as he wanders around with a sign that describes President Barack Obama as a Muslim

You can see some of the characters in the game in this video from MRC TV:

According to National Review Online, players get "informative tidbits" between levels about how Obama's health care plan lowers the deficit, and "how most Republicans think the president is a Muslim."

Jason Oda, the head of StarvingEyes, told MRC TV the game was a personal project and downplayed the criticism coming from conservative circles.

"I am not worried about it affecting business," Oda said.

If only one could kill off failed, resurrected, or Frankensteined "deadly zombie Ideas" like:
- Voodoo economics
- Be afraid, be very afraid
- Fascism
- The South will rise again
- Reaganomics
- Supply side economics
- Outsourcing
- Off shoring
- revolving doors in DC
- corporations are citizens
- ...

Yeah, there is an army of deadly, destructive ideas at work doing what no foreign nation has succeeded at doing to America.

If this was made by someone in the private sector, this game would actually be good.

Great solution! Tell us, F.Lee Bailey, what would be the basis of the suit, or what harm the suit would remedy? Extra credit if you mention Freedom of Expression in a complete sentence.

Sound like one of the stupidest games I ever heard of. A rehash of countless other games but with a point of view that is divisive and immature. Just proves that the right has no lock on stupidity. Waste of time. Have fun Kyle, hopefully you'll have a hard time finding anyone on multiplayer .

Hey wait a minute, the left would never endorse simulated $hooting of a politician, what happened to what they said about the right when Gabriel Giffords was $hot, no way. Sarah Palin must some how be responsible for this or maybe those tea party people.

This is awful. Those on the left and in the center would be outraged if this were designed to target Democratic figures, so it's only fair that we be equally outraged when it targets those with whom we have political disagreements. Partisanship is terrific, -- the old adage about iron sharpening iron -- but there has to be a line of civility and respect that should not be crossed. Not in decent society.

If this were directed at liberals it would have been splashed all over the news and be called 'hate speech' incredible.

While I don't condone this game, you've got to respect the creativity over the 'creativity' that is usually emitted from conservatives: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lkeZ2P4SiY8

Its a dangerous situation when one would rather feel righteous than right no matter the ideology.
