Terrell Owens Breaks Down Over Money Issues

Terrell Owens

It turns out former Philadelphia Eagles route runner Terrell Owens has more to worry about than his injured knee. Owens has been on injured reserve since December 2010 and filming his reality series, The T.O. Show, while recovering from surgery to repair a torn ACL.

In last night's episode, Owens revealed that while the NFL lockout was underway he faced financial troubles, including child support and multiple real estate investments, despite a history of wise spending and good credit. "Football season is on a standstill, so I have no income at this point. None. On top of that, you're talking about the mortgage of all the real estate that I do have. And on top of that, child support," he said. Owens signed a deal last year with the Cincinnati Bengals reportedly worth $4 million ($2 million in base salary, $2 million in incentives).

Lockout aside, Owens status with the NFL has been shaky. He was kicked off the Philadelphia Eagles back in 2005 after a dispute with team management and quarterback Donovan McNabb, and was rumored to be retiring after this year's surgery.

Sit down and account where all the money is going and go from there. Down size now if you have to. One should always know where their money is going. If it gets to a point where you have no clue your in over your head. It's sad but a broke person has no friends. I guess that' why god made dogs.

Anyway I think TO will be Ok..He's still marketable..So eh will make money. as for football it's a business it hey can get anything out of TO they will be calling...If it's a BIG game and I had my pick of players I'm picking T.O. 100% of the time..

T.O. this is what happens when you have all these kids with different women and not a WIFE.

I feel bad for you and to add to those worries, you've gotten yourself kicked off some really good teams, what's wrong with you dude?

You don't need a wife to have kids. You should be able to support them emotionally, financially, etc. As for the NFL, he made his bed now he is literally lying in it.

come on ... "despite a history of wise spending and good credit." Hellloooo, not like he didn't know the lockout was coming -- a decent savings plan of oh, a few grand a month, prob would have helped.
