Jon Stewart Derides Mitt Romney: 'You Want To Be President So Bad, Al Gore Can Taste It' (VIDEO)

Jon Stewart Mitt Romney Rick Perry

"The Daily Show" schedule prevented Jon Stewart from commenting on Wednesday night's GOP Presidential debate, but he was still ready with some material on frontrunners Mitt Romney and Rick Perry.

We look forward to Thursday night's show when Stewart will have not choice but to take on Perry's "bold" performance during the debate, but on last night's show it was Mitt Romney who was the biggest target.

It was almost as if Stewart didn't know where to start. Mitt Romney's 59-point jobs plan is great fodder, but what's even funnier is that when Romney advertised it, he said he wasn't sure if it was free or not.

"You don't know how much yor economic plan costs people to get," Stewart pointed out.

And then there's Romney's rhetoric: his bizarre payphone/smartphone economic analogy, his talk of a job creating "machine" and his wish that middle income families have "the highest income in the world." Stewart addresses all these Romneyisms, leading him to one frightening conclusion:

"Oh my God, Rick Perry is going to be our next President!"

OH-MY-GOD. Seriously? Is there not even one GOP candidate who sounds like he/she has half a brain? Did anyone have a clue what he was talking about with the pay phone-smart phone analogy? And a job machine? Yes, if only it were that easy. Why not a money making machine? It would be so much easier.

Is it just me or is Mitt Romney taking on a bit of a southern accent? Last time I check, that fool grew up in Michigan.

No kidding? I'll have to pay closer attention. Even though he is very tough on the ears...have you ever heard a more awkward speaking style?

I have absolutely no idea what that BS about pay phone-I phone was about. We still have pay phones operating, don't we? So by Romney's analogy, the current economic policy should be working...or...not????? I mean, this guy is giving an important speech and this is mind numbingly stupid analogy he can come up with? He got called out all of today on his social security hypocritical nonsense from last nights debate. The more time goes on, the more he looks desperate and say anything..believe anything to win seems to be his motto.

Wow, the American public has 14 more months of this scatter brained Republican babble to look forward to. John Stewart, keep them honest...Network News and Cable News are clueless.

Whats scary is Stewart is wrong. The repugs have enlisted all of these ultra conservatives to Make Romney Look like he's a reasonable person . Truth is he's as much of a whack job as the rest but the people are duped intro thinking he is normal. This is all smoke and mirrors. The repugs will run Romney the deal was cut last election when he bowed out.

I beg to differ. Stewart knows exactly what Romney is, as well as the rest of the GOP pack. Actually, it's Huntsman who's going for the Mr. Reasonable title. And he's no better than the rest.
