Jason Wu Spring 2012: What Would FLOTUS Wear? (PHOTOS)

Jason Wu's Spring 2012 collection debuted at New York Fashion Week yesterday, and its mix of elegant silhouettes and classic sportswear elements immediately brought to mind the designer's most famous fan: Michelle Obama.

The First Lady, of course, made Wu a household name back in January 2009 when she wore one of his creations to the Inaugural Ball.

And since then, she's sported Wu's frocks on magazine covers, on transatlantic flights and at White House receptions.

We'd certainly love to see FLOTUS in some of the cheerfully hued ensembles we saw on the runway.

Tell us, which of these looks should Michelle consider for her spring wardrobe?

Imagine what it must cost the taxpayers every time Mrs. b.o. takes a trip..with her hoards of loyal lackeys...the security required to protect them..the oodles of gas guzzling, smogeriffic vehicles needed to accommodate them all, the planes with the giant carbon foot prints they flit around the skies in, regularly..and so on.
What benefit to this country has there been as a result of Michelle O's many taxpayer funded trips?

Ya know, perhaps if the MSM didn't shove MO in our faces 24/7..over such stupid things as what she's wearing every given second..it would be a lot easier to enjoy an article written about her.. or admire a photo taken of her.

I'm curious...where was the MSM coverage of Laura Bush when she traveled the world for good purpose?

She was a classy, caring, ignored by the media, First Lady.

That's ok, though. She did the good things she did.. because it was in her heart to do them..not to receive publicity.

We all have black pants and grey pants and skirts..., so I would pick the tops of 8 and 10 for myself, and maybe the tops of 3 and 6, if available in other colors. I like separates.

OMG, I would most definitely rock the entire outfit of #10. I don't care for the shoes - they would have to be something absolutely fabulous but that skirt is to die for and the top is just perfect and doesn't compete with the skirt. Love it.

Yes, the skirt is fab, and the color too, but that's just it. You wear it once and everybody notices it and won't forget it. I like to wear my clothes often, so that's why I don't pick pieces that make people remember they've seen it before. Guess that makes me a boring dresser!

I think #9 and #10 would look good on her. She is elegant and beautiful and she has beautiful glowing skin Now that is my opinion and I am entitled to one Thank you. The HuffPost and others reduces her to the acronym FLOTUS not her name Michelle Obama. I noticed no other First Lady was called FLOTUS. (Not Nancy Reagan, Barbara Bush etc), Makes you wonder WHY?

Gad; I certanly hope she wouldn't, those are really NOT first lady material. Thay are awful, especially the first black and gray out fit, it looks like her skirt is torn, how tacky is that??

That belt is not hiked up. Her belts are always THERE. She must be short-waisted.
