Josephine Smith, 'Vampire,' Attacks Florida Senior Citizen, Cops Say

"I am a vampire, I am going to eat you," was the last thing Josephine Smith allegedly said before she viciously assaulted a homeless senior citizen sleeping on the porch of a vacant Hooters, according to Florida police.

Smith, 22, attacked 69-year-old Milton Ellis early Thursday morning, biting chunks of flesh from the victim's face, lips, and arms police said.

Ellis managed to escape and call 911, but not before the so-called vampire removed "the top layer of skin" on his arm. He later received stitches for his wounds.

Ellis had invited his soon-to-be attacker to join him at the abandoned restaurant while she waited for a relative from Pensacola to pick her up, according to the St. Petersburg Times.

"He was staying near an overhang near the vacant Hooter's restaurant so he thought it might be a good place for her to stay," Mike Puetz of the St. Petersburg Police Department said.

Smith told authorities that she had no recollection of the attack and could not explain why she was naked and covered in blood, according to local 13-News.

Smith is charged with felony aggravated battery on an elderly person, and is currently being held at the Pinellas County Jail on $50,000 bond.

So I think all you people saying that she is phycotic and such should learn there are allways 2 sides to every story and its not anyones place to assume or judge!! Josie is one of my CLOSE pesonal friends... we share the same tatoo for gosh sake... and thru thick and thin she will still be my friend...And honestly I believe that the so called paralized elderly man had to do something to trigger her... She has had a tough life and phycologicaly makes its harder for her to deal with things, but I do not believe by any means that she just randomly decides to become a vampire and feed on some old homeless man!!!

You probably need to learn to spell "phycotic" and "phycologically" before you diagnose a psychologically based illness. And to describe the victim as "the so-called paralyzed elderly man. . ." is pretty odd as the story never mentions anything like this about the victim.

Perhaps you need to try and get a better class of "CLOSE personal friends" to share tatoos with, and stop making excuses for this elderly-abusing, blood-sucking, face-eating, naked and bloody creep who has no memory. And what on earth could ANYONE do to "trigger" your close friend (or anyone else) to shed their clothes and viciously attack and devour the flesh of this man??? I have been angry before, but cannot imagine anything upsetting me enough to imagine this reaction.

And with a better class of friends, you could refrain from belittling the rest of us who you say have no right to "assume and judge", while you make up stories assuming and judging the victim.
