Ebony Mason, Chicago Woman, Allegedly Forced 16-Year-Old Girl To Have Sex With Strangers

A Chicago woman was hit with criminal charges Friday after allegedly forcing a 16-year-old girl to have sex with strangers.

Ebony Mason, 27, of the 500 block of West 62nd Street, faces charges of involuntary sexual servitude of a minor and human trafficking for forced labor, the Chicago Sun-Times reports. Her bail has been set at $250,000 and she will appear in court again on Sept. 30.

Prosecutors told the Chicago Tribune that Mason picked up the girl from her home and drove her to a hotel on the 6000 block of North Lincoln Avenue. There, she took photos of the victim for an online ad on a prostitution website. Police caught her during a sting where undercover officers offered to pay $200 to have sex with the underage girl.

The Tribune reports that the girl told the officer she had engaged in sex with several men, while Mason had kept all the money for herself. The girl was taken to the hospital for medical treatment.

Everyone wants to get hung up on the word consent? Fine!

The six-year-old upset by being felt up by TSA? People said how horrible what that little girl went through! But you all didn't think it horrible that that little girl couldn't "consent" to you watching the YouTube video of her being felt up did it! Her rights meant nothing! The sacredness of being a child meant nothing! Did it change TSA tactics, did it lessen terrorism? NO! Did anyone give a rat's tail about that child who couldn't "consent" when they watched her being manhandled on YouTube? NO! Mom gave that "consent"! She knew exactly what that child would go through and she thought only about herself! She chose to fly instead of driving! People will shout "well we must be safe from terrorists, right?" Let's use terrorism as an excuse TO violated a child by TSA and being YouTubed for the joy of voyeurs who'll look at anything.

The 92-year-old diapered woman with TSA. Her daughter gave "consent"! Who gave a rat's about the 92-year-old's violated age of "consent" when SHE was YouTubed for voyeurs without permission? NO ONE! TSA now hides the most aggregious acts and terrorism hasn't slowed by molesting people has it.

"Consent" can be used for or against you depending on gain, depending on situation. It's tunnel vision when you refuse to see the difference.

People here are stuck on the conditional word of "consent" using it as a dismissive excuse. We use the word "consent" to protect children while we refuse to give that same protection to others. Let's protect that 15-year-old from sexual exploitation but to hell with protecting someone older suffering the same unfair treatment. Let's shout outrage that a 15-year-old is kidnapped and forced into prostitution but tell that 25-year-old that she's supposed to accept being kidnapped and forced into prostitution because she's older! Let's tell that 25-year-old that she can say no all she wants and it doesn't matter, but when a 15-year-old says no, the same battery, torture, being sold, is wrong. We refuse to make the connection that REGARDLESS of how old you are, women don't deserve to be sexually exploited whether the law says you can say no or not!

Women don't deserve to be sexually abused at ANY age consent or not! Now if people can't see that plain as day make women will never progress!

I still think that the only reason people are more outraged at this woman for selling this young girl IS that she's a woman. There wouldn't be the same outrage had he been a man. It's expected/acceptable that men are pimps who sell flesh and women aren't. A man who owns a brothel no problem. A madam? Jail her for life! It's expected that a male pimp is violently brutal and heartless with his girls, it's a shocker when a woman pimp can be just as brutal and heartless because of the inane conditioning of both genders that women are all supposed to be soft, gentle, compassionate, loving.

If sexual exploitation of the women is only decided by age of consent, then we have more of a Societal problem than I thought.We're not objects regardless of age.It's indeed a sad state of affairs that some women love being sexualized and treated like meat, when there's no other respect, no other value placed on them. It's sadder when women use consent as a justifying rationalization to define and actually defend, sexual objectifying. To me there is no, never has been, never will be, a differentiating line. Objectifying is objectifying plain and simple.

They say that prostitution is the oldest profession, and underage prostitution has probably been around for nigh as long. Chasing down single perps like this person won't stop this ancient trade, only a fundamental change in hyper-charged male sexuality and the ending of some males disturbing disregard of women (and children) can change that. Hardly likely with the ever increasing over sexualization of women of all ages in the media and on the internet. Young males need to be taught to respect and revere women from and early age, and, in turn, young women should be taught respect and revere themselves. These lessons begin and end in the home, but parents, teachers, and society all have an essential roll to play.

I'm equating porn, kidnapping and sexual slavery as the same. They're all using women, they're using teen girls, they're using little girls. I don't equate kidnapping and sexual slavery as worse. I don't equate porn between consenting women and say child porn as different just because of age. Porn degrades both equally. Porn objectifies women and girls more. And I don't separate between men and boys. I find it sexual exploitation be he a 25-year-old man or an 8-year-old man. They're both equally degraded. What this woman did was awful. But isn't it funny how we'll all buy a product with a scantily clad woman? Men will look at a picture of a 15-year-old model dressed provocatively with tongues out drooling, but chastise her and her mother saying they're greedy for the money that feeds the demand for this type of crap to sell something yet say of an 18-year-old model sold for her body parts, it was her decision so sexualizing her is fine? How interesting. Pick tortures for this woman who did what she did, but let's not devise the same tortures for those who buy these women. They get a free pass. I don't really think she "forced" her to have sex...she just decided to keep all the cash and that is why the 16 year old was mad. She obviously knew what was going on and cooperated to some extent.

Then again, the story is less than complete with facts, so I'll reserve my judgment of the 16 year olds compliance in the plan. But, clearly this 16 year old is not a "victim" in the truest sense of that word.

The legal age to consent to sex isn't 18...at least not everywhere. I can only speak directly for PA, but in PA it is only statutory if one party is under 16 and the other is more than 4 years older. So, if the same is true in Chicago...the 16 year old is perfectly legal to consent to sex with anyone she wants.

Again, I don't know the specifics of the laws in IL, but I do know that there is no set "You have to be 18 to consent to sex" law.

A 16 year old is still a child. About the failure to run away - are you totally unaware of how easy it is to manipulate a 16 year old child than a 25 or 35 year old? Weren't you confused as a teenager? Finally, this pimp is destroying this girl's soul. I'm not religious, but this girl is still developing her self-image and worth. Sadly, she was learning that she was nothing but a sexual toy. Worst of all, this woman was exposing this child to men larger and stronger than her, and most likely not so nice while they did their "business".
