Pippa Middleton Wears A Strange Purple Hat (PHOTOS, POLL)

We love to love Pippa, but when she makes an egregious style error, we have to admit that she is not, unfortunately, perfect.

Exhibit A: her purple-themed ensemble worn at a weekend wedding, complete with a ruffly, shingled purple hat.

The occasion was the nuptials of Rose Laing and Jake French, two of Pips' closest friends. Held in a rural Scottish village, the wedding brought out Sophie Dahl as well Prince Charles and the Duchess of Cornwall, whose son Tom Parker Bowles was the best man, writes the Daily Mail.

But it was a royal sister who stole the show with the bizarre purple fascinator. Part sea urchin, part frilly cabbage, the hat left us scratching out heads (out of confusion, but also because it looks sort of uncomfortable).

She's looking kinda depressed and old with her long face and knobbly knuckles. Leave her alone already!

As for the hat, it's probably the only style she could find that matched the colour of her dress.

Poor thing. She doesn't really ever look comfortable dressed up. And, it makes me cringe to see all these women at these outdoor events ruining their nice shoes having to walk in gravel and grass.
