Crazy Human-Like Things That Pets Do

The Huffington Post     First Posted: 09/14/11 09:37 AM ET   Updated: 11/14/11 05:12 AM ET

Two thirds of American households count at least one pet as part of the family -- and one study has even found that we may choose breeds that actually resemble us.

But sometimes that resemblance goes beyond just looks, and pets start picking up some funny human behavior. From taking a bubble bath to grabbing an ice-cold beer, here are a few of our faves from scouring the web (use your common sense, though -- some of these are definitely not safe to try at home with Fido!).

One piece of info stands out here -- SOMEONE TAUGHT THEIR PUPPY TO USE THE TOILET??? REALLY???? How did they do it??? We have three dogs, this could change life as I know it!!
01:48 AM on 10/26/2011
Do not get frustrated, it is really easy to teach a cat to use the toilet, however (no matter what this article says) nobody knows of any dog who has been taught to do that yet. If anybody knows one I really want to know it.

Sigh... I knew it was too good to be true... ;)

It would be supremely awesome, though, especially during those times when it's cold out and your puppy wakes you up at 4AM because she has to go...

Ok. I have never ever seen someone pushing their pet in a baby stroller. That's a bit too much. I love my pets dearly but come on!! LOL

In France everybody takes their dogs in strollers. It sounds funny but it is true. Probably because the citizens do not want for their dogs to step in poop (humans and animals) found all over.

An animal at the dinner table? Naaaaaaaaaasty
01:49 PM on 10/25/2011
With some animals, it's less nasty than small children at the table.

I've seen some in bike baskets, although I don't like that because I saw an older man fall over with a small dog in the bike basket. The dog was okay, but cried. I'll never forget that.

And then you have the dumb rednecks (sorry, redundant) who put their pitbull unrestrained in the back of their pick 'em up.

Why is the kitty on the john wearing a sweatband around its neck? Because pooping is hard work?

OooooooooooooTay....the sista with the fork eating cat is psychotic. First of all it's nasty to have an animal on your dinner table. Secondly, to allow this, her husband must be a bit off as well. Third, I hope her children give her grandbabies soon before she ends up with more animals at her table. SMH....that's just plain nasty

My cat loves watching tv with me, she acts just like me sometimes. Shes been spoiled since day one, so I guess I shouldnt be surprised that she has picked up a few of my "habits" lol

Oh those talking pets above were JUST too cute. Animals are just so joyful, it pains me when I read that one has been aboused, they are a gift to us and we (most of us) spoil them, such a wonderful way to live, wish all animals could be spoiled like these.
