OrlandPark, IL Patch:

A suburban Chicago Muslim leader exiled from the United States after 9/11 could be back as early as this fall after a federal judge declared the government's argument for keeping him away "totally asinine."

Sabri Samirah, formerly of Orland Park, has spent the past eight years in his native Jordan. In 2003, he traveled there to visit his sick mother and on his way back was stopped by immigration authorities, informed he was a "national security risk" and barred from returning to America.

it's really a comment about the oppressiveness and subjugation of women in many areas in which this religion is practiced. one of the simpliest things an 'adult' can do is determine what one wants to wear, and in my opinion, this is very child-like, oppressive, and dismissive to the idea that women can be responsible citizens.

so actually, my name IS NOT so far fetched, as it's clear that you 'misunderstood.'

You honestly didn't know women were considered property by western civilization until quite recently? Or are you trying to score political points by apologizing for a certain... peaceful religion?

From your link:

1. He violated the terms of his visa by failing to maintain his student status..

2. The INS denied that application on March 29, 1995, on the ground that petitioner had engaged in unauthorized employment and was not in lawful status.

3. The INS has received information indicating that you are a security risk to the United States and therefore, your advance parole authorization is hereby revoked."
.

4. Petitioner, by contrast, seeks entry into the United States from abroad without a visa or travel document. In that respect, his claim "only puts him on par with the billions of other non-U.S. citizens around the globe who may not come to the United States without the proper documentation."
.

5. he represented to the INS that he was "an alien having a residence in a foreign country which he has no intention of abandoning."
.

Mr. Samirah does not even come close to passing the good citizenship test.

Immigration is important to the economy. Skill sets, people with money, people with ideas, people who will support the communities where they settle and pay taxes will contribute to growth in the economy.
