Walt Disney World To Get A Four Seasons Hotel

Four Seasons Hotels Getting In On The Disney Action

Walt Disney World guests can soon enjoy all the action from the luxury of a Four Seasons hotel. Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts announced plans to construct a hotel at the Disney mecca in Orlando.

The 444-room hotel is set to open in 2014 and will be located within the Golden Oak residential community. Like any proper Disney hotel, it doesn't skimp on the amenities. This property will include a spa, three pools plus a lazy river, sports facilities with basketball courts and a rock climbing wall, plus meeting and event space and a business center.

Atop the hotel will be a restaurant featuring views of the Magic Kingdom.

The Four Seasons property will also take over the Osprey Ridge 18-hole golf course, making renovations and managing it.

Officials had hoped to open the hotel last year, but the recession thwarted those plans, according to the Associated Press.

Four Seasons executive Scott Woroch told the AP he expects a 50-50 split of leisure and business travelers at the resort.

The Waldorf Astoria also opened a luxury property nearby Walt Disney World at Bonnet Creek, offering complimentary shuttle service to the parks.

Disney recently opened its newest resort and vacation club property, Disney's Aulani, at the end of August. It's the first Disney property in Hawaii.
