Michelle Obama Wows At Hispanic Caucus Gala (PHOTOS)

Posted: Updated:

Michelle Obama worked a color we haven't seen her wear in a while at last night's Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute’s 34th Annual Awards Gala.

Attending the black tie event with President Obama, the First Lady looked stunning in a strapless green dress with a shimmery peacock design created by American designer Chris Benz.

Although he's no "FLOTUS fave" yet (e.g. Rachel Roy, Prabal Gurung), Chris Benz did see the First Lady wear another one of his dresses when she appeared on ABC's "Extreme Home Makeover" in July.

FLOTUS paired her colorful frock with green beaded earrings, which she showed off by pulling her hair back.

While his wife looked on, President Obama gave speech about his $447 billion tax cut package as well as the new jobs plan to an audience that included Nancy Pelosi, Sonia Sotomayor and Her Royal Highness Princess Cristina of Spain.

Check out the pictures of the Obamas, specifically FLOTUS's stunning Chris Benz creation, below.
