Had minor foot surgery after accident while hiking on vacation so have been able to get a lot of reading in the hard way though I am catching up. I read Garden of Beasts because I learned more about Germany and the war and the WA connection. I highly recommend this book for history buffs. Paris Wife was delightful so I had to read A Moveable Feast again. I'm just starting Pirate King by Lauri King which is her newest and I've enjoy her writing through the years. Lauri King is lighter reading for a nice change. I'm going into work tomorrw for a few hours on crutches so that cuts down on my reading a bit.

Does anyone read Sharon Kay Penman? She has a new book coming out next month on King Richard titled LionHeart.

someone here needs to review the new suskinjd book that smears the President and hios advisors and makes the Obama administration, sans valerie Jarrett, appear as malfunctioning misogynist mess!!

Does suskind have an agenda?? it needs to be exposed!! AND FAST--just in case beck highlights the book and it skyrockets on the NYT bestseller list!!!

And then there is "Box Head Man" an enhanced children's ebook in the apple iTunes store. This is not a commercial post as "Box Head Man" is free. It is for your iPad only. It is not treeware, it's digital. No trees were harmed making this book. It took thirty of us to make this ebook. It's just one of the paths books are taking in the future but this future has been advanced to now, right now. Children love this ebook and read it over and over. Download it, it's free.

I highly recommend The Black Banners by Ali Soufan. Bought it after hearing the NPR interview with him. It's excellent. And proves that claims that torture was effective isn't true. He was there for the FBI and worked with the CIA in interrogations. Brilliant.

I saw him on the Rachel Maddow show on msnbc. Part of the book was redacted but still, according to Rachel, readable. Can't wait to read it.
