Emerging From Sub-City Paris (VIDEO)

Set against the backdrop of romantic Paris, filmmakers Sarah Klein and Tom Mason's video "Sub City Paris" captures the moment of uncertainty that accompanies emerging back into the city from being in the metro. Poet Ezra Pound provides inspiration and sums up the experience:

"Three years ago in Paris I got out of a "metro" train at La Concorde, and saw suddenly a beautiful face... I could not find any words that seemed to me worthy, or as lovely as that sudden emotion."

In 2006 I was going down the Odeon Metro and fell 15 steps breaking my shoulder. Third day in Paris ... and a long trip home! Since then, when we have visited, I have been very sure of my steps. I do love Paris!

The streets of Paris only seem amazingly charming compared to American cities, filled with strip malls and big box stores. Every city in Europe is beautiful. Not just Paris.
