Sofia Vergara Sells Kmart Line In New Commercial (VIDEO)

Sofia Vergara for Kmart isn't the most unlikely of collaborations (I mean, we certainly didn't see Vera Wang or Jennifer Lopez for Kohl's coming), but it still is a bit surprising to see the purveyor of solid hoodies and mom jeans embrace Vergara's curve-hugging style.

Which is maybe why, oddly enough, Kmart's new commercial for the line doesn't actually show Vergara that much. Lots of "average" women waltz around, dressing and undressing in the Kmart garb... while talking in Vergara's signature high-strung Colombian accent.

It's a bit jarring to see anyone but Sofia Vergara talk like Sofia Vergara. But we suppose Kmart proving from the get-go that women who don't have Vergara's show-stopping figure can still look good in the clothes is an important point to make.

I stepped foot into a KMART a month ago after a 15 year hiatus and the people I saw there (employees and customers) didn't seem like they could even spell the word SEXY if asked to, so Sophia shouldn't waste her time. It won't make a difference.
