Exclusive Clip From Jamie Foxx's Docu-Pic, 'Thunder Soul' (VIDEO)

This Friday marks the release of Jamie Foxx’s executive produced music documentary titled 'Thunder Soul.' The docu-pic follows the alumni from Houston's acclaimed 1970's Kashmere High School Stage Band as they regroup 35 years later for a tribute concert in honor of their band leader, Conrad "Prof" Johnson. The 92-year-old was responsible for breaking the school's color barrier and transforming the school's struggling jazz band into a world-class funk powerhouse in the early 1970s.

Since its 2010 debut at the SXSW Film Festival, the film has earned accolades and nominations on the indie film circuit, including 'Best Documentary Feature' at the 2010 Indie Memphis Film Festival.

"I can't wait to share 'Thunder Soul' with the world so that everyone can enjoy this one of a kind experience," Foxx told 'The Hollywood Reporter' last February. "It's such an entertaining and inspirational story that touches your soul and awakens the human spirit in the way that only love and the power of music can."
