Robyn Gardner Suspect Criticizes Police Reenactment

The lead suspect in the case of missing American tourist Robyn Gardner is criticizing a police reenactment simulating his account of the 35-year-old woman's disappearance.

In new footage obtained by the Associated Press, authorities can be seen testing Gary Giordano's claim that Gardner drowned in Aruba's Baby Beach. The video shows a woman with blond hair wearing a similarly patterned dress to the one Gardner wore in photographs from her vacation.

Giordano's attorney called the simulation "one sided," adding that police ignored some of his client's statements. The lawyer also took issue with law enforcement officials prohibiting him from recording the exercise himself.

Gardner mysteriously disappeared in early August in Aruba. Earlier reports indicated Gardner and Giordano met through an online dating site.

While accounts of Giordano's checkered past with woman have circulated since Gardner's disappearance, the 50-year-old businessman continues to deny any wrongdoing.

Authorities are investigating a $1.5 million insurance policy under Gardner's name that listed Giordano as the beneficiary.

Police have stated that they believe Gardner is dead.
