Back To Basics: French Designers Make 80s Electronics Out Of Paper

A New Spin On '80s Design

From shoulder pads to the beloved Sony Walkman, the 80s gave us a lot of things. While some can happily be left in the past, others breed nostalgia.

As a tribute to that era, two French designers behind the studio Zim and Zou have created 80s electronic devices out of paper.

With the collection dubbed Back To Basics, Thibault Zimmermann told the Huffington Post over email how he and partner Lucie Thomas spent over a year collecting dimensions, analyzing the real-life objects and then carefully designing and finalizing these paper crafts.

Almost identical to the actual devices, in the slideshow below you can spot everything from a Polaroid camera to a Gameboy, casette and even a Nintendo remote.
