Larry Flynt Takes Aim At Rick Perry, Offers $1 Million For Information On Sexual Encounters

Hustler publisher Larry Flynt wants dirt on GOP presidential candidate Rick Perry, and he’s willing to pay for it.

According to TMZ, Flynt will offer $1 million to anyone who can prove the Texas governor has engaged in an illicit sexual encounter.

The ad will reportedly read “Have you had a gay or straight sexual encounter with Governor Rick Perry?”

This will not be the first ad targeting Perry’s sexual past.

In August, soon after Perry announced his candidacy, a Ron Paul supporter took out a full-page ad in the Austin Chronicle asking “Have you ever had sex with Rick Perry?”

Discovering unsavory information about politicians’ sex lives is a personal crusade for Flynt. His practice of offering cash for gossip on prominent political figures dates back to 1976.

The king of smut is credited for uncovering the extra-marital affairs of Louisiana Republican Rep. Bob Livingston during President Bill Clinton’s impeachment hearings. Livingston resigned in the aftermath. Later, Flynt helped expose Sen. David Vitter, also of Louisiana, as a client of a D.C. prostitution ring.

This is pretty much an open secret in Austin. Normally I wouldn't care if he was gay or not, but the disgusting hypocrisy really gets to me.

Agree. Since he is running as a teapublican which is against DADT and gay marriage makes a big statement if this turns out to be true. Could the teapublicans elect a gay president if he runs with an R in front of his name?

What do you think, will someone claim so?

If Romney's three extra wives come forward, do they get a million each, or just a million to split?

Digging for dirt is particularly effective if the targeted subject behaves like a sanctimonious person. Otherwise, it can come of as being vindictive. I think Flynt must already have something which describes Parry's hypcrisy or he wouldn't be targeting him.

A repeat of my 9/1/2011 request:

How about offering $1M for such a photo, Larry Flynt?
GOP hypocrisy: commonplace.
A photo of it: priceless!

Larry Flynt has done more to defend the constitution than any of you have. He has actually fought for his rights and freedoms in court and succeeded in the face of politicians that tried and tried again to suppress those rights, not just slapped a flag on his car.

When the GOP yells "Freedom" -- they mean freedom from government taxes and regulation -- not real freedom like Larry Flynt practices.

I'll agree with you on that. I'm glad he fought the Gov. One comment though, he had the money to fight them. Most of us don't. Or, I would have been fighting local Gov a long time ago.

Yeah, the fact that Larry Flynt is looking into Rick Perry's sexual past is a clear indicator that he can run a country.

You are going to vote for someone because another person wants to look into Perry's sexual past?

Really?

Hey Larry....What if Monica Lewinsky, Paula Jones, and Gennifer Flowers all come forward with a scoop? Would they split the pot, or each get a million? Oh wait, that was a Liberal president. Not worth a Million. What a President does in his private life is nobody's business. Remember?

Maybe, but don't call us racists because we dislike Obama and his policies. The people who do this, are the real racists in my view.

"I hear your mom was asking about evolution and, you know, it's a theory that's out there," Perry told the boy. "It's got some gaps in it, but in Texas we teach both creationism and evolution in our public schools, because I figure you're smart enough to figure out which one is right."
If Perry is correct about Texas schools teaching creationism and evolution side-by-side, however, the public schools in his states would be violating federal law. The Supreme Court in 1987 ruled in Edwards v. Aguillard that teaching creationism in public schools violates the Constitution's Establishment Clause.

we shouldn't worry about whether Rick Perry believes in evolution. As long as it affects only his personal life, who cares? But what we should care about is how this illuminates his public policy decisions. If he lobbies to have creationism taught in biology classes, that's a big problem. Ditto for climate change.

No, they don't teach creationism in the public schools in Texas, but it's kind of scary that Perry thinks that they do.
