Lindsey Wixson On Getting Approached In Walmart, Modeling & Shooting A Gun (VIDEO)

It's a bit jarring to see sweet Lindsey Wixson, she of the cherubic face and gap-toothed smile, give an instructional demonstration on how to shoot a gun.

But we suppose it's par for the course when you're from Wichita, Kansas, even if you've spent your recent years in New York, Paris and Milan.

Wixson chatted with the Telegraph about, well, guns, but also about being one of top models in all of fashion at just age 17.

"We've just left Lincoln Center and I just did the Michael Kors show... it was pretty fun," Wixson says with a smile. It's the understatement of the year -- most girls use the words "pretty fun" to describe a pool party or a homecoming dance. But Lindsey walks New York Fashion Week, so her points of reference are just a bit different.

She also doesn't miss high school too much, considering how she was treated. Although adults approached her in Walmart and the grocery store saying, "Girl, you need to model now!" the girls at school were none too kind:

"I was really awkward and I had a gap tooth and girls would make fun of me... and I actually had a group of girls who made a list of things they didn't like about me. So the end of my eight grade year, which is 13-14, I had no friends. So I actually always had older friends, I didn't really socialize with my own class."

But she still is a high schooler, which is abundantly clear when the camera catches her chomping open-mouthed on a wad of gum while swinging around in her kimono backstage at Anna Sui.

See the teenage supermodel -- and be impressed by how articulate, grounded and mature she is -- in the Telegraph's video.

Is there a single successful and famous person who does not insist that he/she was bullied as a child, called names, made fun of etc. etc.? In addition, we may even get the usual stories about horrible parents, drinking, fighting or even beating them up. I am waiting for the day I will be hearing of a successful person with a happy childhood. Now I know why I am not rich or famous, I had a very happy childhood.

She is cute, I but don't think rocket scientist is going to be her backup career.

She has a unique kewpie doll look, though in the video she looks and sounds a bit like Drew Barrymore.

Being a model is a lonely isolating life. She's probably very happy to go home and be herself with family.

Another innocent victim of the NRA’s Eddie the Eagle proliferation to children program. Shame on the NRA!

Thats right, Walmart does sell guns, dont they? Hmmm...maybe not the best thing for a 17-yr old to be doing, but kudos for 2nd ammendment rights.
