WASHINGTON -- With heavy rain expected into this evening, the National Weather Service has most of the D.C. region under a flash flood watch through 10 p.m. Friday. Rainfall amounts of 2 to 3 inches are anticipated with some localized areas getting more than 4 inches. Most of the heavy rain will be along or east of the I-95 corridor moving from south to north.
There's a 40 percent change of precipitation on Saturday, but new rainfall amounts are expected to be less than a tenth of an inch.
