The FBI has stepped in to help authorities locate Shanel Nadal, the 28-year old mother who kidnapped her eight children from a foster care home in Queens on Monday.

Nadal is suspected to be in hiding with the children's father, Nephra Payne, in either a black Chevrolet Suburban, Ford Sedan, or black Infiniti.

The abducted children range in age from 11 months to 11-years old and excluding the 11 month old girl, all are boys who share their father's name, Nephra.

NBC New York learned that Nadal was desperate to have her children back. But after the Administration for Children's Services gathered that Nadal was not overcoming her issues, they warned her that a plan to strip her from her parental rights was a possbility. The day before the abduction, Nadal sent a text message to one of the foster mothers saying "I cannot live without my children."

The children were taken away from Payne and Nadal in 2009 because reported abuse and neglect.
