'Sister Wives' Husband Kody Brown Invites Brad Pitt To Join Family

Kody Brown Brad Pitt

Controversial "Sister Wives" patriarch Kody Brown, who is no stranger to media criticism, is feeling Brad Pitt’s pain after his strange remarks regarding ex-wife, Jennifer Aniston. In fact, Brown likes Pitt so much he's welcoming him to join his family of four wives and 16 children.

“If there was going to be a brother husband, I would ask Brad to join the family,” Brown tells me backstage at "New York Live," his wives standing close by. “I’m an Angie guy. She is weird but she's genuine. She was married to Billy Bob, come on. It’s not a matter of Jen being dull, but I think Angelina Jolie is a real humanitarian. I see her as a mother. Jen could do it well, but Brad and Angie are good parents.”

And although Brown would be happy to welcome the actor into his crew, he is sure that he will not be welcoming any more ladies to join the modern family anytime soon.

“No more wives because I feel maxed out,” Brown tells me. “I want to give them all that I’ve got. I think that I can manage it. I do want to ... No, maybe I don’t think I can manage it.”

And with another child on the way, Brown encourages his bromance brother to have more children too.

“Angie and Brad should have more children ... They are good parents,” Brown says. “I like them. They are involved. I think Angelina Jolie has got a heart of gold.”

The new season of "Sister Wives" debuts September 25th at 9:00 PM on TLC.

I really enjoyed the drama of Big Love, and came to understand one thing: This man with his multiple wives and numerous children is at least being a father. Regardless of how I personally feel about this practice, at least all of his children know who their father is and he is providing for them. In many ways this may be the solution for all these baby daddy's and their baby's mama's. Shack up together, stop fighting, and raise your children. Just take the religious justification out of it Kody and we can all get along.

As far as Kody and his family. I am sad for them on one hand, because I feel they are practicing something that is NOT right in our Heavenly Father's eyes at this time. BUT that is MY opinion!! I admire their commitment to each other and their kids. There are MANY marriages out there that don't even have a MORSEL of the devotion and functionality that these people do. If someone is going to sit here and call this family "Dysfunctional" they are only judging them on their choice to be polygamist. The kids are TEENAGERS. Teens are going to have issues adjusting simply because they are teenagers!!! It was the move to Nevada that upset the older boy, not the polygamy aspect of their lives. I felt the same way when I was uprooted from Texas and moved to Canada when I was 17. I was a HORRIBLE teen. I had a normal family life. Me and my parents. Very supportive parents. I still had issues. Kids are going to have issues no matter their family life. Stop judging them and let them live how they want. Judging this family because of their religious beliefs is hypocritical. Say you are baptist....are you going to condemn all the Catholics and Lutherans out there because they don't believe what you believe?? It's the same thing. Love people for their strengths. God will help us with our weaknesses. Leave these people alone!!

This is Kody brown once again trying to justify Polygamy in a round about way with gay marriage and gay rights. WHICH IT IS NOT.

Brown filed a lawsuit to challenge the polygamy law using the 2003 United States Supreme Court decision, Lawrence v. Texas, which struck down state sodomy laws as unconstitutional intrusions on the “intimate conduct” of consenting adults which is DANGEROUS to the LGBT community because opponents of same sex marriage and gay rights often refer to polygamy as one of the all-but-inevitable outcomes of allowing same-sex marriage. In his dissenting opinion in the Lawrence case, Justice Antonin Scalia cited a threat to state laws “based on moral choices” against “bigamy, same-sex marriage, adult incest, prostitution, masturbation, adultery, fornication, bestiality and obscenity.”

Also recently Brad Pitt has been standing up for same sex marriage and gay rights.

This is a cheap attempt by Brown to hook polgomy to same sex marriage debate.

For some, polygamy is certainly tied to gay rights issues! Look at the poly community. Some live together in closed relationships where intimate relationships are bi, not hetero within the group (m/m/f or f/f/m, etc).

Only the religious faction that practices polygamy gets press time so it's easy for people to stereotype. The rest of us are hiding in the closet, which can be stressful and complicated, especially if kids are in the mix.

Actually Polygamy is just as tied in with MARRIAGE EQUALITY as is Gay Rights, it's about allowing everyone to pursue their happiness.

That Kody guy is so gross, he acts like he is not right mentally, maybe some kind of mental handicap or something is off.

I can't wait for the day we have one or more of the "wives" on Dr. Phil telling about how she was cajoled and threatened with abuse if she didn't go along with what God-Kody wanted.

I'm not mormon and I think the religion is weird, but I think you're bitter because he is the head of the household. You don't like that woman have made a man the leader and expect him to make decisions. It works for them. Leave it be.
10:21 PM on 09/26/2011
My husband is the head of our household, and sometimes I wish he would make MORE decisions vs. putting it on me so your thinking is flawed there. What I have a problem with is a man (or woman, as the case may be) thinking he or she is so awesome that so many people just have to be with him/her and he/she has to divide his/her time among the masses just because of the awesomeness. People who believe they are so awesome and can do no wrong and so "in-demand" like that are the same type of people who abuse and control the people they supposedly care about.

I need to speak up here. Kody and his family are NOT Mormon. They are members of a church that FELL AWAY from the LDS (Mormon) Church. People who belong to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints or The LDS Church, are often called Mormons. This is a nick name, and NOT the official name of the church.

PLEASE do not mix us up with the sect that Kody and his family belong to. The LDS (Mormon) Church does NOT practice polygamy. It is against the law, and we do NOT break the law. Anyone in the LDS (Mormon) church found to be practicing polygamy, and refusing to stop that practice, would be excommunicated from the church. Polygamy is part of our past, not our present.

What a screwball! Does he really think in his mind that he is in the same league as Brad and Angie? Who is he to offer any kind of advice to anyone? Reality TV has created the male version of Kate Gosselin.

Sorry...I don't get everyone's fascination with this guy and his "wives". He seems very self absorbed and full of himself. Yeah...Brad Pitt would want to be in on all that great stuff going down in that home...NOT!
