Anne Hathaway Catwoman Costume In 'The Dark Knight Rises' Up Close (PHOTOS)

Gotham, we have ears. All can relax.

When the first image of Anne Hathaway's Catwoman costume for "The Dark Knight Rises" was released, a veritable uproar from fanboys and purists rang out: the all black leather was nice, but that was no Catwoman. First off, they asked, what was with the goggles? And where was the mask? And the cat ears? Christopher Nolan, it seemed, had made his first misstep as steward of the dark caped crusader.

Then, Hathaway herself weighed in, shooing off the haters and promising that they'd soon be blown away by her skin-tight garb. "If you didn't like the photo, you only see about a 10th of what that suit can do," she told MTV earlier in the month.

Looks like she was right.

In a new photo caught on set, Hathaway is indeed rocking those in demand black cat ears and the eye mask, putting the traditional spin back on her Selina Kyle alter-ego. As filming winds down on the movie -- they've shot on sets in London, Cleveland, Pittsburgh, and Los Angeles -- the picture provides some reassurance to those that were wary of her look.

Now, whether she can kick ass -- we'll just have to wait and see on that one.

I don't even think Dark Knight the first should have been made. The cinematography and makeup were horrid. No disrespect to Heath Ledger but his acting wasn't that great and he even said himself, before he died, that he felt the need to re-do scenes and the makeup just made it look unbelievable. Anne Hathaway has never struck me as "sexy" she just doesn't have sex appeal. She's more like a teenage deer; awkwardly cute. Anne Hathaway just isn't "woman" enough to fill the shoes of CATWOMAN. Michelle Pfeiffer was smoking hot in both beauty and performance. Halle Berry isn't the greatest actor but that cat outfit was damn sexy on her. Anne Hathaway's cat outfit looks cartoonish and kittenish as does most of the outfitted actors. I would be grateful if they made a sequel better than the first Dark Knight but judging by the preliminary takes I won't be going to the theater to see it.

You're right. She's Kitten Girl not Cat Woman. Nolan is so overrated but the nerds seem to love him. The design of his Batman franchise is awful but it's not nearly as bad as the dialogue. Listen to the first few lines of the dark knight from Joker's henchmen and tell me that's good writing.

this is not some second rate B movie like halle berry's catwoman....she is very close to catwoman in the comics and especially catwoman from the first years, ala batman year one.....which is where nolan's going with this, she's a thief and a sometimes friend of the batman, who happens to look reallly hot...and hathaway pulls it off. Warner bros will be releasing official pics very soon to kick the hell out of these camera phone pics, trust nolan!!!!!!!!!!!!

Anne Hathaway Sexy? I guess you must mean in a boyish kind of way; nevertheless you are right SCARLETT JOHANNSSON is one SEXY MF and so far that costume on SJ cannot be beat at the moment and she's just BEAUTIFUL something that I can't say about Anne Hathaway that woman is like a pale contorted Pillsbury oh well love her or hate her she's working.

Please, Michelle Pfeiffer was the best Catwoman (not counting Julie Newmar or Eartha Kitt). Ann just doesn't put Cat in Catwoman.

The pics that have been posted of her stunt double, is not as skinny as Hathaway. Dumb casting.
