Extreme Make Over

Every year "Extreme Makeover Home Edition" goes big, and this year is no exception. For the season premiere, the designers solicit the help of First Lady Michelle Obama. Barbara Marshall is the target, and she runs a shelter for homeless female veterans. The shelter, Jubilee House, has been in severe disrepair. Early in the episode Mrs. Obama takes Ty on a tour of the White House garden and tells him it may be a good idea to have a similar garden at the Jubilee House.

This is a much better Extreme Makeover: Home Edition video. This is from the recent episode with the McPhail Family. A real heartwarming episode, much more so than the Obamas. If the link does not work you can find it on 541Live.com

An excellent show last night. Love the genuiness of the First Lady. I'll be sending a donation to Jubilee House.

I think Laura Bush was on this show also, only she did it AFTER the election.

That was something to watch last night! Every moving, and it makes you want to get up, and move toward helping too.

Sad to think that female veterans are homeless. Very inspiring effort.

1 of 4 homeless people are Veterans. That is why patriotism has become such hypocrisy. How can this be allowed? How can our legislators wear the flag pin and know this exists in their country and communities?
