In a push to gain more small-business users, Facebook Inc. is expected on Monday to reveal plans to launch a new program that includes giving away $10 million of advertising credits.

The initiative is being launched in partnership with the U.S. Chamber of Commerce and National Federation of Independent Business, a small-business group. I've been advertising my fishing tackle businesses http://www.penfishingrods.com & http://www.floatingpliers.com on facebook for 4 years now. I think social site advertising is awesome because there are millions of people out there from all over the globe that share the same interests which makes it a HOT bed for making new contacts & displaying your products. You can post promotional videos of your products anywhere, there's special interest groups of likeminded individuals that share the same hobbies so you don't offend anyone with questionable material or photos. Not everyone wants to see a freshly "harvested" deer or a bloody fish on their news feed early in the morning while they sip a cup of fresh java. Good luck to all the small businesses who decide to join social media & take advantage of it during this "awesome" economy. :) Here's a few videos for the ourdoorsmen & women out there..
