Kim Kardashian Hits 10 Million Twitter Followers

Kim Kardashian hit a major Twitter milestone Monday -- she reached 10 million followers on the social networking site.

"OOOMMMGGG I just realized that I hit 10 MILLION FOLLOWERS! Words can't even begin to express the love I feel for all of u!!!" the reality star tweeted.

According to Twitaholic, Kardashian is the fifth most followed celebrity on Twitter, falling behind Lady Gaga, Justin Bieber, Barack Obama and Katy Perry.

Kardashian certainly tweets enough to keep her followers satisfied -- which is more than can be said for some infrequent celeb tweeters -- but, more often than not, her tweets straddle the line between entertaining and annoying.

Must say America is a funny society, was discussing this with a friend recently and there was a local musician here in my country whose naked pics were doing the rounds on the internet and the backlash she received was quite harsh and you can bet she was extremely embarrassed as were her parents and relatives.

Now this Kardashian releases a sex tape where she gets peed on which earns her a reality show that is one of the most rated on E, gets millions of followers, endorsement deals you name it and of course millions of screaming fans who want to be just like her?!?!?!?

Funny that this is what society rewarded her with because it's the people that keep buying into their shows, products and in large part the media that keeps printing stories no matter how mundane that are to blame IMHO.

Having said that Kris Jenner is the ultimate pimp. I can't fault her hustle, she has imposed her daughters on the public and as long as they are in the limelight then she keeps making that money.

why is such a big deal.. myself as an ordinary person back in 2001 i had over 18 million followers in my email list data. I had an joke website ..and i was giving away laptops, digital cameras and tshirts... I was the biggest bloggers out there...

I wonder what the going rate is for BUYING TWITTER FOLLOWERS. There is a rumor out there that she paid $250K for such a list within the past two years. Buying that list put her at some milestone. She is trying, desperately, to overtake Lady Gaga. I would be willing to bet that the more followers she has, the more $$$ she makes from her ads (oops!! meant to say tweets).
