Norwegian Cruise Line's Norwegian Pearl is a popular floating resort. The waters are crowded with sea-worthy vessels, so to make planning easier, we've done all the prep work for a cruise vacation. As part of a Huffington Post Travel series on cruise ships, here is a tip sheet offering all the key information one could ever need to know about the Norwegian Pearl.

North American Destinations

The
cruises to destinations as disparate as the Caribbean and Alaska. It also sails a West Coast route from Vancouver, Canada, to Seattle and Los Angeles.

Jewel-Class Cruising

The Norwegian Pearl is a 965-foot Jewel-class ship that boasts Norwegian Cruise Line's "Freestyle" cruise experience. It can accommodate 2,394 passengers with a crew of 1,099. The ship cruises at a speed of 25 knots.

Pampered Voyages

The Norwegian Pearl is home to the South Pacific Spa, which has a hydrotherapy room. The ship also offers a variety of entertainment, including the famous Second City comedy troupe and a Nintendo Wii on a two-story screen.

Ocean-View Rooms

The Norwegian Pearl offers interior staterooms that can house up to four guests, ocean-view rooms, rooms with balconies and a variety of suite and penthouse options. Rooms designed with families in mind are available in each of the categories. Interior staterooms are 143 square feet; ocean-view rooms are 161 square feet; balcony rooms are 205 square feet; and suites range from 285 square feet to a three-bedroom garden villa at 3,355 square feet.

Cruise Cost

Cruise rates range from a two-day cruise from New York City to sea and back at $249 per person for an inside stateroom to a 14-day Panama Canal cruise from Los Angeles to Miami at $3,179 per person for a suite. Children under 2 years old receive a reduced fare. Certain itineraries offer discounts on the third and fourth guests in the same stateroom. Infants under 6 months are not eligible for travel on Norwegian Cruise Line ships. Check the website for last-minute and online deals. The website also has a "best price guaranteed" policy.

Dining At Sea

The Norwegian Pearl has
as well as some that come at an additional cost. The two main dining rooms, a grill, a children's cafe and an outdoor buffet are complimentary options for guests. Restaurants that are available for an extra charge include a sushi place, a steakhouse and establishments that serve French, Italian and Asian culinary options. Room service is complimentary from 5 a.m. to midnight. There is a delivery charge for room service from midnight to 5 a.m.
