Redskins vs. Cowboys LIVE UPDATES: Monday Night Football Week 3
The Redskins-Cowboys rivalry runs deep. Real deep. Dallas and Washington square off on Monday Night Football for the 15th time tonight, and after DeAngelo Hall's comments about targeting Tony Romo's ribs, it looks like it's going to be a good one. Romo, coming off an incredible performance in Dallas' comeback win over San Francisco last week, will start tonight with hurt ribs, while teammates Dez Bryant and Felix Jones will also play with injuries. The Redskins have a chance to be one of the few surprise teams after three weeks (Buffalo, Oakland) and improve to 3-0 and 2-0 in the division. Will the Redskins gain a two-game advantage in the NFC East? Or will the Cowboys take care of business in their home opener? Follow our Monday Night Football blog for live updates!
Normally, we post all the scoring plays from a game to close ou these live blogs. Does everyone want field goal clips?

| @ ChrisHarrisNFL : No one really appreciates field goal execution/operation until u have a botched snap. Snap, hold, kick! Most underappreciated part of football |
|
| @ gmuhoops : Embarrassing for Skins, Cowboys O was awful |
Dallas' rookie kicker came through tonight on a big stage tonight. Romo, meanwhile, played well enough despite pain and a complete disconnect from his center to get Cowboys offense in position to kick game-winning field goal.
|
| @ BlkSportsOnline : According to Gruden & Jaws ..Romo won this game by himself...Fellas the COWBOYS DEFENSE deserves as much acclaim |
|
| @ espn_macmahon : That's the 11 fourth quarter comeback of Tony Romo's career. Second this season. Pretty good for a so-called choker. |
And, that will do it. After being flushed from pocket, Grossman rolls scanning up field and is caught from behind by Spencer. He strips him and his teammates recover.
Nothing happening and clock running, so he tosses it out. 38 seconds. 2nd and 10.
After catching ball, he drives up field for first down rather than getting out of bounds. Redskins timeout. It's 1st and 10 at their own 43.
Ball comes out to 19 or 20 but their is laundry on the field. Officials confer and decide no holding on play. Someone threw a flag for it. But it didn't happen. OK? OK.
Bailey hits another field goal to put Cowboys ahead. The 3rd and 21 to Dez Bryant is the play of the game thus far. Can Grosman change that?
After stretching the ball out to his right, Choice saves a timeout for Redskins by going out. FG team on with 1:52 to play.

| @ michaelombardi : Dumb time out by Skins. Never call a time out under 207. It gives the opponent the option to pass and not lose anything. Dallas blew it |
Cowboys running it with Choice. Redskins timeout with 2:03 on clock. Maybe I've missed it in the myopic haze of live blogging but have we gotten a straight answer on where Dez Bryant goes when just disappears for these long stretches? He should have been doing this all night?
Is tacked onto end of the run. All of a sudden, Boys are in field goal range and there is 2:08 on clock. Wow.
Moving to his right as blitz comes and he finds DEZ BRYANT?!?!?!? for a big gainer. 30-yard gain for first down.
Romo goes hot to Robinson but he can't catch it. 3rd and 21 with 2:20 on the clock.
With blitz showing, Romo is changing play and snap comes way early. 2nd and 21.
He makes a nice snag on ball behind him up the middle. 1st and 10 and 41.
Rex in 'gun, Rex forced from pocket and he has to throw it away. 4th and 17. Punt coming.
