Gwyneth Paltrow Celebrates Her Birthday With Beyonce and Jay-Z

First Posted: 09/28/11 11:48 AM ET   Updated: 11/28/11 05:12 AM ET

On Monday Gwyneth Paltrow celebrated her 39th birthday alongside husband, Coldplay singer Chris Martin and expectant parents Beyonce and Jay-Z.

The foursome celebrated Gwyneth's birth with an intimate dinner at Tertulia, in New York City's West Village, reports US Weekly.

Gwyneth had a great night and this morning she tweeted, "Thank you for all of my happy birthday wishes, just read so many. You just make my life great, thank you xgp."

It's not surprising that Gwyneth and Chris would celebrate with Beyonce and Jay-Z, since the two couples are pretty tight. Earlier this month, Gwyneth celebrated Beyonce's 30th birthday, visiting her friends aboard a rented yacht in Venice, Italy.

And they've been known to gush about each other.

Last month Beyonce even told Harper’s Bazaar UK that Paltrow is who she "strives to be one day," and said, "You go to her house and she makes you feel like you never want to go home.”

The feeling is totally mutual. Gwyneth only had good things to say about Beyonce when she spoke with Harper's Bazaar UK in January. She told the magazine, "No one else can sing and dance like that, while having humour and genuine bursting sweetness."

Check out some photos of Gwyneth over the years:

I like the dynamic between Gwyneth and Beyonce. Friendship is a beautiful thing. I have a wonderful diverse group of friends who I LOVE and respect and it has nothing to do with what color they are. Grow up.

Any white couple that can be friends with a black couple and don't feel the need to 'save' them, is alright with me.

Sweet -- so nice to hear two women genuinely talk fondly of one another. More of this in the world please.

o.k., Gwyneth needs to make movie; she's getting perilously close to Karadashian type fame.

JayZ and Beyonce are probably annoyed they became friends with them

Everybody has a birthday. Not understanding why hers is particularly newsworthy.

I used to love the color black and wore it often. However within the last year those I have seen wear black give me the distinct impression and flavor I never want to wear black again. It is not a fad when you see the same people doing the same outlandish things, telling the same unreal stories, participating in the same incredible and mind boggling acts, behaving in the most unpopular ways and getting paid millions to do it. Say bye bye black clothes. Going to pack some boxes and take them to the Goodwill.

nah, i love black. i've got my uniform, as my kids call it. black cashmere turtleneck, jeans (or if it is dressy, black pants), blazer (not black), colorful scarf and clogs or boots, depending on the occassion. it is not about making me look thinner, as i am thin, but it sets a great palate. but i am old, so i really don't have a clue what is fashionable.

I didn't read the article... I just thought it was just as important that everyone knew how much I do not give a rat's *** about this article. Yes, this comment is just as important as what Paltrow did on her birthday.

i think your comment proves that you care and care a lot. otherwise why would you waste your time?

Then by your own logic you must agree that you care A LOT about what I, a complete stranger, has to say about Paltrow, or you would not have taken the time to respond.

By the way, even though I clicked on the link and commented, I still don't know what she did on her birthday because I did not read the article.
