Most people know a good sandwich when they see one. But when you're presented with 150 sandwiches, the sheer magnitude of deliciousness is certainly daunting. Blogger and sandwich lover Jon Chonko has compiled some of his favorite scanwiches (yes, those are sandwiches that are scanned) into Scanwiches, The Book.
Scanwiches, The Book will be available starting November 3, which is (not coincidentally) National Sandwich Day. A few preview images are below. Hungry yet?

This New Orleans classic combines several Italian meats -- salami, capocolla and mortadella -- with provolone cheese and an olive salad. The challenge here is fitting the whole sandwich into your mouth.
The winner of the "Fanwiches" competition, the Stalwart Goatherd was created by a vegetarian and sandwich aficionado. Whole wheat raisin nut bread, um, sandwiches goat cheese, honey, roasted beets, roasted red pepper, arugula and roasted garlic spread.
The Dagwood is something of a "thought experiment" according to Scanwiches. It is named after the Blondie character who would create a sandwich from refrigerator leftovers. The book recommends using a bamboo skewer to hold the many ingredients together.
Everyone knows that Elvis Presley's favorite sandwich contained banana, peanut butter and honey. It is hotly debated whether bacon was the magical fourth ingredient. Either way, this is definitely a sandwich fit for The King.
Are you salivating as much as we are? Enough said.
