Weekend Agenda: Zombies, Pagans & Art

This week Denver boasts the Great American Beer Fest and marks the beginning of area fall fests, but plenty of other activities are keeping Denverites active as well. Between spirits, zombies, gray matter and pagan pride, this weekend has everyone – dead or alive – covered.

Golden Cemetery Tour: Meet the spirited residents of Golden’s yesteryear with this hour-long cemetery tour. Tours leave every 20 minutes.

Untitled #41: This month’s untitled series presents “Gray Matter,” showing your brain on art. Buntport Theater will perform once again in the freight elevator, Force Publique and Hearts in Space will provide live music, Robert Adams’ photography exhibition will open, Sam Flores will engage in live painting, and even neuro-scientists will be part of the interactive art scene.

Race for the Cure: Don your pink boa and join the legions of Race participants – over 60,000 in years past – for a 5K, Family Fun Run and lots of entertainment and goodies.

Front Range Pagan Pride Day Festival: Whether you want to celebrate your Pagan roots, network or learn more about Paganism’s history and role in modern day culture, all are welcome to join the Pagan Pride Festival, where speakers, musicians and entertainers will be performing and vendors and workshops will welcome visitors.

Journey: Whether you want to sway to “Open Arms” or catch a glimpse of Michaele Salahi, you’ll have the opportunity Saturday evening when this iconic band plays Denver along with Foreigner and Night Ranger.

Zombie Dash: Practice for the Zombie Apocalypse by dashing through Denver with your team on this course filled with challenges and obstacles. Zombie gear is encouraged; you must be 21 to participate. Proceeds will benefit flobots.org.
