NORTH CANTON, Ohio -- A former player honored twice as The Associated Press' Mr. Football in Ohio has been charged with rape, theft and aggravated burglary in a home invasion in his hometown.

North Canton police said Friday that 20-year-old Erick Howard was the last of three suspects still wanted in the Aug. 20 home invasion in which masked men tied up a couple and sexually assaulted the woman.

Court records show the warrants were filed Wednesday.

Howard attended Hoover High School. In 2009, he won his second consecutive Mr. Football award, the state's top individual honor for high school players.

Court records didn't list an attorney for Howard. No Howard was listed at the address on the court docket.

I wonder what evidence there is seeing as the first reports of the Home Invasion one of the only leads the investigators had to go on was that one of the victims heard one intruder call out to the other one and said 'Steve' and yet none of the three they've arrested are named Steve.

Erick wore the #5 jersey and he was a black male. The two others that have already been arrested are 1white male and the other Black. Two blacks and 1white= One disgusting Oreo Cookie!

Too bad he could not contain himself until college. If he had joined the Notre Dame football team, the university would have protected him.

Remember Elizabeth Seeberg who complained about the sexual actions of an N.D. football player towards her? She was told not to mess with Notre Dame football players by complaining, and the university's president said he could not get involved because he had to administer the school's judicial system.

Why bother with a trial? At least twelve posters here have already adjudicated him as guilty. Aw heck, don't even bother with the sentencing phase. Just take him out back and dispatch him with your concealed weapon .38.

Such is the way of the ridiculous right.

Folks, I hope you never get arrested. Or falsely accused. And find out just how much of a horror our LEGAL system is. Despite the slogans, the reality is that there is a presumption of guilt until proven innocent.

Just another example of an uncivilized individual who has never been taught socialization. No matter what gift some people are given in life so many of them destroy it because they have no idea how to be a human being. I hope these people spend a long time in jail for their crimes.

Sounds like perfect NFL material to me.

how about a monthly background check of "celebrities" and "stars" and making them public?
09:16 AM on 10/02/2011
that would be GREAT ! I am tired of the likes of these people walking away scott-free ! Normal everyday people go to jail for much less or pay big fines ! Just think of all the famous people that get away with MESS !

But, he is a football player and a celebrity, doesnt that mean he can do whatever he wants and is above the law? Wonder what Mrs. Ohio thinks about all of this?
