Carlos Zambrano will be leaving behind more than the Cubs when he enters retirement: he's also unloading his 4,000-square-foot house in River Forest.
The house went up for sale on Aug 8., two days before he was ejected from a game against the Atlanta Braves after throwing two inside pitches to Chipper Jones. The home is listed with Weichert Realtors for $969,000.
Built in 1999, the three-level brick home sits on the 500 block of Edgewood Pl., near a forest preserve in Riverside, a suburb of Chicago. The house features 5 bedrooms, an office, and a loft space overlooking a large recreation room and sunken great room.
Zambrano also owns a 6,700-square-foot-house in West Lakeview, according to the Journal of Oak Park and River Forest.
