How about people worry about what they NEED and not what they WANT. Far too many people now believe that they will be able to live at the same level once they retire as they did while working. I have found that selling my business and living with what I NEED instead of what I WANT not only gives me more job, but far less stress on my daily life.

I am at the age of 52 years and unemployed due to NAFTA, alot of factory jobs at the company I got laid off from, sent jobs to Mexico by opening and expanding a plant there. I have disabilities which prevented me from finding another job. I applied for SSDI on June 6th of this year and I am waiting for an acceptance for disability insurance from SSDI which takes SSA about 190 days to respond to me. I am living on my savings which is disappearing quickly because of expensive State Subsidized health insurance (BadgerCare Basic) which costs me $325.00 per month. Have you got any tips or advice for me?

You must live in Fitzwalkerstan where Medical Assistance, Family Care and other programs for people with disabilities will not only NOT see the increases in funding that were requested for these programs, but the programs will be cut from their current level of funding.

What ideas does Ms. Rowley have for REAL people who are need of help balancing the cost of their needs (wants were abandoned a long time ago) with their income?

This sounds an awful lot like the advice you get from reading "Are You Ready for Semi-Retirement?", by Ian Taylor.
