Whether one is for or against illegal immigration, the fact remains that NOTHING will stop people from crossing the borders with a desire to escape the poverty that they are forced to live in in their own countries. People will go to desperate measures to alleviate their desperate situations and to desperately survive. Call them what you may, illegal aliens, illegal immigrants, etc., but in the end they're human beings who want and need to live like you and me. Yes, their illegality is an issue that must be regulated by our government, but their humanity must be considered first and foremost. That's my opinion and if anybody here disagrees with me I ask you to please avoid being rude and arrogant in your replies.

The majority of welfare recipients are American citizens who mostly abuse the system. A majority of illegals who have jobs pay a great deal of taxes and the IRS keeps info on those taxes in a separate confidential file where they also have the false SS numbers that the illegals use, or are given by their employers. People are under the impression that the Feds. are trying to fix the immigration problem but, in fact, they are exploiting the illegals to serve corporate America, which is really the true government of the USA.

BTW, look up sometime on the internet how many people in the world are living at the poverty line or below the poverty line. (1) there are 10,000,000 more people living at or below the poverty line in the USA than in Mexico, (2) worldwide there are about 3 billion people living at or below the poverty line. There must be a control, the USA cannot handle any more.

The USA is not the only country where immigrants are entering illegally. Spain also has many Africans, mostly from Senegal, entering into Europe via the Canary Islands and the Spanish government treats them with humanity and decently by giving them appropriate health care, food and shelter and then dispersing them throughout the European Union according to the policies of EU. As in all societies where immigration is creating hate among its citizens due to the high percentages of immigrants, Europe also has its problems but at least the governments of the EU treat the immigrants much better. I understand your feelings re: immigration, but the problem is not the immigrants, the problem is the US government who refuses to do anything substantial about it and then let corporations exploit them. The California farmers are hurting because they rely on illegals to do the work since no American applies due to the small wages and no benefits. The issue that I have with most Americans who just view the illegals as law breakers is that they don't see them as humans and that worries me because a society that thinks like that is a society in ruins that lacks humanity. Those inhumane thoughts and feelings will come back to haunt America.

Why so much hatred and calls to arms? I wonder whether or not half of you would be in the United States right now if immigration policies on Europeans were as hard as they are on Hispanics now. And all because of the color of their skin. None of you understand how difficult it is to come to this country from a Hispanic one, and how much easier it is to come when you come from any other region in the world. It is racism and it is bigotry and all of you are spouting hatred.

I would love to see what your arguments are if you were ever to get deported because your Irish/Italian/German/French ancestors came on a boat devoid of anything but their last name. Quotas are still different than the amount of money that has to be spent to get into this country from a Latin American country. There are only specific times that one can apply for a green card or VISA to go to the US, then there is the immense amounts of waiting times, wait lists, payments, and fees that one must pay to get said VISA. It has become so convoluted and such a game of just money changing hands that it is still extremely difficult for the poor and middle class of Latin American countries to ever make it to the US. It is almost guaranteed that unless you are rich, have a friend in the government, or have a family in the US that is willing to be your host family and assist you, illegally crossing the border is the only way. Most people that actually end up coming to US legally already had family here to begin with whose ancestors came illegally. It is not nearly as easy as you think.

Hey Victor, most "Hispanics" in the USA, have come to the USA from either south of the USA, or Spain, or Portugal. Those south of the USA would not be speaking Spanish, if it were not for Spain colonizing what is called Latin America today. You know Spain, in EUROPE.

I know you would like to think of yourself as having NO traceable heritage to Spain or Portugal, but that is absurd. Most research indicates that some 70% to 91% of the people in Mexico and Central America have genes that indicate that they would not be here today if not for the FACT that one or more of your grandparents were Peninsulares, or Iberians, or Spaniards, or Portuguese, or EUROPEANS.

When are Hispanics going to finally admit that they are European, just like most in the USA?

Of course most Southern American's have Spanish blood in them, as do most Filipinos.This does not mean that we should call ourselves Spanish, or even Europeans. If you were to learn your Latin American history you would know that Latin Americans are an amalgam of African Slaves brought to the countries, Indigenous locals, and European Colonizers who conquered and raped the two other groups. The mere fact that our only European ancestry is due to our forced occupation, and enslavement is the reason why we have fought to create our own Latin American/Hispanic/IndoAmerica identity separate from that of our European Ancestors. I believe they should be put on a chain gang and told to dig a new canal, like the Panama Canal, between the USA and Mexico. Their sentence will be that once their family and them agree to leave the USA and never return, they will be released from the chain gang, but not until they and their family are all before an ICE administrative judge. They will be told that if any one of them return illegally to the USA, they will be put on the chain gang for a second time for a 10-year sentence with no chance of parole.

About 15 years ago I did constuction work in Florida..............Mexicans took over those trades.
I worked for a guy who knowingly hired illegals and he wasn't the only one. We had about 50 mexicans working with us, one or two had papers and spoke english. My boss would give all the money to the guy who had papers and he paid the illegals. Thats basically how the game is played.

Not only are you correct, but there are other illegal aliens across the USA that have formed a nonemployer business, where they are hired as a vendor to do the work, instead of an illegal alien employee.

These individual nonemployer business illegal aliens, or illegal alien contractors, work together as cooperatives approaching businesses for further business in greater numbers to attain contracts. And I am not even talking about when these nonemployer business illegal alien contractors work as sub contractors under a legal contractor to usurp even more laws about hiring illegal aliens.

This must be stopped! It would be nice if more of us mentioned it to expose it as well.
