Michael Campbell Arrested: Is This The Scariest Mugshot Ever?

Just when you thought a mugshot couldn't get scarier...

Missouri police arrested 36-year-old Michael Campbell on Sunday after catching the convicted sex offender within 500 feet of a playground or public pool, according to The Smoking Gun.

In addition to rubbing elbows with the law, the Colorado-native seems to have a reputation for his transformation from mildly tattooed mugshot subject to incredibly tattooed mugshot subject.

The image on the left is from a 2003 arrest, while the image on the right, taken over the weekend, shows Campbell's profile at it has appeared since he decorated his face completely around 2008.

Offenders should perhaps think twice before decorating themselves with such distinct body art. Arizona police recently arrested another man, Albert Tajeda, who they recognized by his own unique facial tattoos -- not to mention his duffle bag with a samurai sword sticking out.

Authorities booked Campbell at the Greene County Sheriff's Office.

It should be illegal to tattoo someone's whole face as clearly it is a sign of mental illness and/or emotional distress. No good ever comes of this and it can't be undone in the event the person, matures, recovers, changes their mind.
