Howl-O-Ween At Great Wolf Lodge
For three weeks in October each year, Great Wolf Lodge water park resort in Kansas City, Kansas, takes on a ghoulish theme for Howl-O-Ween. The resort's family-friendly event features crafts and face painting for all ages, a trick-or-treat trail, costume parades and an almost-scary story time. Adults can enjoy the resort's spa, salon and fitness center while knowing their little ones are having a howlingly good time.

Spooky Street
Every Halloween season for more than 30 years, one Olathe, Kansas, family has transformed its property into a haunted wonderland -- all for charity. Each year, Spooky Street gets bigger as new displays are added. The scare level is mild, and kids are rewarded for their bravery with candy. Admission to the house and property is free, but the family collects donations for Harvest for Hunger and the United Way.

Halloween Haunts At Worlds Of Fun
From mid-September through the end of October, Worlds of Fun amusement park in Kansas City, Missouri, transforms itself into a Halloween adventureland. For little ones, Howl-O-Fest offers scare-free fun with candy and costumed characters. After sundown, older kids and adults will enjoy being scared at the nine Halloween Haunts scattered around the park, including London Terror, Asylum Island and Fright Zone.
