James Marsden And Denise Richards To Guest Star On '30 Rock'

Marsden

It looks like "30 Rock" is gearing up for quite a season.

It was just announced that Will Arnett will be returning as Jack's nemesis, Devon Banks. And now there are two more casting additions to the show, James Marsden and Denise Richards.

Things are certainly looking up for Marsden, who recently announced his separation from his wife, he has secured a multi-episode arc on the NBC hit, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

The nature of his role is hush-hush but, suffice it to say, with six episodes booked, we can expect that it'll be pretty major.

And then, just when you thought things were as good as they were going to get, Denise Richards joins in! Who expected that one? The beauty tweeted that she will be joining one of her favorite shows.

We can only guess how Liz Lemon will feel about this new lady.

Love 30 Rock, and Will Arnett is clearly a God.

But sometimes, there are too many off-key guest cameos on the show.
Its hit and miss

Brian Williams= top drawer
Matt Damon, Al Gore and so many others= meh

Brian Williams has perfect comic timing. He's also hilarious when he does guest spots on Jimmy Fallon.

I went to a taping of Jimmy's show when Brian "Slow Jammed the News". It took me months to erase it from my tivo because it was THAT funny and I was in the audience. I love him. I also thought he had one of the funnier SNL episodes.

Denise Richards? How lame.

Not necessarily.

In some roles, she's been quite fine and she can do some comedy.

And it would be unlike 30 Rock to make a lame casting decision. They have an unusually good track record with characters and casting.

With the odd exception of Julianne Moore - a fine actress, but I thought she was terrible. Just the accent alone.

I heard they're making Condoleezza Rice a regular cast member.

I heard she'd gone into hiding since Gaddafi declared he had a thing for her.

In that case, I hope it turns out he has a thing for Palin and Bachman, too.
