Jessica Bottoms Attacked Haunted House Employees: Police

Wine and spirits don't mix, at least not for a Kentucky woman who allegedly drank too much and punched an actor at a haunted house.

According to a criminal citation, Jessica Bottoms, 24, was making her way through the halls of the Haunted Hotel attraction in Louisville Saturday, when she came upon a performer who was apparently doing his scare job a little too well. Police say Bottoms reacted by shoving her fist into his face.

When asked to leave, Bottoms allegedly became combative and grabbed and kicked other Haunted Hotel employees and had to be restrained, police said.

Louisville Metro Police officers were called to the scene to assist. According to arrest records, Bottoms, who police said was obviously intoxicated, continued fighting with officers.

Bottoms was eventually subdued and booked into the Louisville Metro Department of Corrections on preliminary charges of public intoxication, disorderly conduct and resisting arrest.

No word yet on which attraction Bottoms liked better.

This woman reminds me of those pro wrestling fans that treat the wrestlers like they are real. they are all fake dumbasses, the wrestlers, the haunted house employees. The only reality will be if this haunted house gets foreclosed by Chase due to bad publicity.

Not the silly, simple job it used to be. Dressing like a scarecrow and doing some lame "whooooooo! whoooooo!" noises wasn't the same as sneaking up and scaring the shat out of somebody.

I worked in a haunted house in the DFW area for 3 years. I got hit many times - some by accident (scared them too well) and some on purpose (drunk and angry patrons). These things are very common in the haunted house world.

Rule of Thumb: If a Halloween haunted house is going to be too much for you, don't go in! I've worked many of these and the people there are just actors. You paid to be scared and they are just doing their job. Here's another clue: It's all make believe! There are really no such things as monsters. You don't have to prove how tough you are. Nobody's going to think you're brave because you punched a plastic monster. Geez! I hate talking to adults like they are children!

When I was a kid, we went to a popular haunted house in our city. On the way through, I was met by someone in costume with a running chainsaw. Under the effect of strobe lights, the noise and sight of the chainsaw terrified me and, being a kid, I didn't realize there was no chain attached to it. I completely freaked out. lol My mom told the guy to stop following me with it and when he didn't she got between us. When he tried to reach past her, she reached down and pulled his legs out from under him... Turned out he was my older cousin. I was not amused. But even lying flat on his back, he sure was amused. lol I can see how someone can get surprised or scared enough in a haunted house to react as she did initially, but the rest was not cool.

I remember a similar thing where we were in a "haunted maze" made of wood not like a cornfield and someone with a chainsaw was chasing us. We ended up crawling under and climbing the barriers bc we were so scared

I went to a haunted house last year, There was a guy with a chain saw. It was loud and scared me. I just ran til I hit a corner and went down in the corner of it. And cried, they would not stop coming after me. Finally my husband was like whoa! get away from her.

I'd just like to share an experience that happened to our daughter when she was 17 and went into a haunted house during Halloween. She went in with several of her girlfriends and three of them were grabbed inappropriately. Their breast were fondled and they were touched between their legs. So I would like to warn Parents that what seems to be just a fun thing to do can also be dangerous, especially for young women

It's a shame they you even have to warn about it and even worse that you know people who went through it .. It's getting to the point were it's really not safe for your daughters to be out and about at any event , esp at night .
