America's Most Popular Pizza Toppings

Although non-traditional pizza toppings may be trendy, according to Nation's Restaurant News, the most popular pizza toppings are still pretty classic.

Technomic's MenuMonitor surveyed 235 pizza places from July to September 2011 and found that cheese and pepperoni occupied the first and second spots. Do HuffPost readers' tastes match up to the results? See the full list below, ordered from most popular to least popular, and weigh in with your pizza order.

Based on the list below, it will be interesting to see how Domino's new artisan pizza fares. In a world dominated by plain, pepperoni and tomatoes, it remains to be seen whether or not there is room for the likes of spinach, feta and roasted vegetables.

Small round thick Pepperoni that curls up when baked and captures the juice inside, real mozzarella sliced circular , provolone cheese shredded, bacon chunks, Spanish Onions, Roasted red peppers, and fresh shredded Asiago/parmesan cheese to top it off.
Everything but the pepperoni is under the cheese, the pepperoni is on top of the cheese.
This is my current favorite Pizza in the world, I make it myself, no one else makes it that way, which is a bummer.

Anchovies are not on the list, yet every pizzaria I've ever worked in or have been to offers them. We once had bowling team come in every week and we had to hide an anchovie in the pie. Whoever got that slice had to pay!
