Uma Thurman & Vogue Australia: Who Wore It Better? (PHOTOS)

We were a bit undecided on the dress Uma Thurman wore to Louis Vuitton yesterday. On the one hand, cutouts = so chic. On the other hand? The color was a bit drab, the shape a bit dumpy (and Uma is certainly not dumpy) and the shoes a poor pairing.

Then we saw the same dress styled as a coverup on the latest cover of Vogue Australia. And we totally changed our minds.

Alina Baikova, shot by Nicole Bentley, wears the dress over a red and white bathing suit for the magazine's November cover, hiking it up over her bronzed legs and adding a bright belt.

The look just screams summer (which, given Australia's reverse seasons, makes perfect sense) and looks drastically different with just a bit of sun and a lot of skin.

That's not Uma Thurman. Can't be! And to whoever is wearing the dress, you need a size smaller, honey. And as for the other? Glad they put the E where they did.

When my elderly Aunt died, I had to clear out her house-- she had several dresses just like that, and I didn't even BOTHER sending them Goodwill... straight into the bin they went.

On Uma, the dress doesn't look like it fits at the shoulders and neckline. If it were more tailored, or sleeveless, I'd like it more. And the length, just above the knee would be better. And I like the thin red belt to pop it -- more black seems to drag it down.

The shorter version with red in it looks better; but not that is has to be jacked up exposing woman parts

Not to be rude but seriously? We're picking between a supermodel on a cover of a magazine and anyone else? The dress is hideous to begin with but yeah the cover model is an obvious pick

I agree. the dress to start is awful but a shorter version of it works better because there is not so much of the ugly. horrible dress but UMA''s hair and face look GREAT
