Colleges For Visionaries
It can be something as seemingly insignificant as an art class that inspires the greatest minds of our time to create and innovate. In his famous speech to the Stanford class of 2005, Steve Jobs, who attended Reed College for several months, noted that a calligraphy class he took there inspired the design of his Apple products. If he hadn't taken that class, he said, "the Mac would have never had multiple typefaces or proportionally spaced fonts."
Jobs, who infamously never graduated from college, proves in his legacy that one needn't pursue a traditional path to change the world. But there are colleges in America that encourage young minds to flourish in unique ways. See nine of them below -- and tell us why your college is suited for visionaries in the comments section.
