If anyone could wear the miniest of mini dresses at age 39 and get up on stage to perform in front of the 90-year-old Duke of Edinburgh... it would be the indomitable Gwyneth Paltrow.
Last night the star donned the shortest frock we've seen in quite some time (well, since this one) at a party hosted by Prince Philip, the Duke of Edinburgh (Queen Elizabeth II's hubby, for those wondering).
The London event, in honor of Mayfair's launch of "The Arts Club," was attended by the 90-year-old (!) royal as well as some much younger, hipper guests such as Cameron Diaz and Mark Ronson.
Gwynnie didn't let the nonagenarian's regal presence hamper her fun nor her outfit choice. The actress-turned-occasional singer performed with Ronson and The Knights Before, Amy Winehouse's former band, wearing a short-sleeve, black sparkly minidress with gray peep-toe booties and dark polish on her toes.
According to Elle UK, her song choices were also playful: after belting out her now-signature song, Cee-Lo Green's "F*** You," she quipped, "Excuse the language in that song — don't tell the Queen!"
Prince Philip, for one, didn't seem to mind. He chatted easily with Gwyneth while looking spiffy in a navy suit with a neat pocket square.
The whole thing sound too good to be true? See the pictures below.
