Halloween In America's Most Haunted City
In Savannah, Halloween isn't just a night -- it's a year-round way of life. (Remember Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil?) Voted America's Most Haunted City by the American Institute of Paranormal Psychology, this beautifully spooky city kicks up some frightful fun for Halloween. From a ride on the Scary Ghost Tour, to a journey in a hearse with Hearse Ghost Tours, to walking tours and pub crawls around some of the city's scariest sites, Savannah will be rocking all Halloween. Many venues will offer fortune tellers, elaborate Halloween decorations and special libations. It's a citywide celebration of the fright factor that adds to Savannah's allure.

Scarecrow Stroll
The annual Scarecrow Stroll in St. Marys has become a highlight of the city's Hay Days festival, and a family favorite for both locals and visitors. According to Camden Happenings, the Scarecrow Stroll is perfect for even the smallest trick-or-treaters. The city turns itself into a beautifully decorated Halloween wonderland, with activities like free hayrides and family-friendly movies (like It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown). Local merchants that stay open late for the stroll give out treats to kids.

Netherworld Haunted House
Netherworld Haunted House provides unequaled frights for those fearless enough to make their way through its dark passageways, which are filled with incredible special effects and terrifying creatures. Billed as "world famous" by HauntWorld.com, this house of horrors is not for the faint of heart -- and definitely not for younger goblins. Ticket prices range from $22 to $28. Since tickets tend to sell out quickly, purchasing them online ahead of time is a good idea.
