Princess Maxima Of The Netherlands Goes Glam For Ribbon-Cutting (PHOTOS)

The Netherlands may not be the warmest place, but Princess Maxima always seems to have a glow about her.

The royal, who favors Seventies-inspired styles, bold colors and the occasional dramatic accessory, looked positively golden on Thursday when stepping out in Rome.

Princess Maxima wore a chic brown topper over her blonde hair for the event, coordinating her gray skirt and camel top with a thin belt, nude pumps and the sort of adorable little gloves only royals can still pull off.

She removed the gloves, however, when it came time for the ribbon-cutting, as the royal officially opened the new Piet Mondrian exhibition at Italy's Complesso del Vittoriano gallery.

Personally, we're loving the hat, which works much better than the floppier version the princess donned almost exactly a year ago. What do you think about this royal look?
