Troy Polamalu At Wax Museum: Steelers Star Scares Patrons By Posing As Statue At Madame Tussauds (VIDEO)

First Posted: 10/07/11 12:28 PM ET Updated: 12/07/11 05:12 AM ET

While his intimidating appearance and vicious hits on the field may lead one to believe that Troy Polamalu is a hardened football assassin, it seems that off the field, the all-pro safety definitely has a lighter side.

In a commercial for Head & Shoulders, a company for which Polamalu has done tremendous work in the past, the Steelers safety went to Madame Tussauds wax museum in Los Angeles and posed as himself -- then came to life after he was approached by an unknowing patron. The reactions are about what you'd expect: shock, horror and touching his luscious hair.

The funny stunt got laughs all-around and showed off a lighter side of one of the most intimidating players in the league. All in all, it seems like when he's not hitting guys into next week, Troy Polamalu is a fairly affable guy.

Seriously Fox-lite-Po? You delete my post again?
So far, in a VERY brief span, I've compiled a ever growing document of my comments that have been instantly struck from Comcast-Poo.
Is there anyone else left of center having this issue as the prevalence of right wing ideologues, unfortunately too often offering nothing more than ignorant, petty, insults and GOP/Fox talking points, explodes on here?

Just wondering. I shall enter this every time one of the 50% or so of my posts are instantly removed.
Till I get an answer:

Reading statements like that really chafes my 44 yr old a$$.
He huckstered for a hair care product made by a massive corporation.

It's not "work" and is hardly "tremendous".
Things have gotten so skewed in the last 30 years ..'specially with celebrity worship.

He does seem like a cool guy tho'

He is really cool but he does not make up for the sexual assaulter who is your quarterback. I bet you the quarterback disgusts Troy. Wish Troy were a Brown.

Not only does Troy raise orchids as a hobby, but during the NFL lock-out, he used the time to finish the courses he needed at USC to get his degree. The guy is awesome...one of my favorite Steelers. ( I like them all, including Ambassador Rooney!) I have Troy on my Facebook and I received his posting of this video a few days ago. What I wouldn't give to have that hair, especially the shining and curly aspects!
P.S. I just happen to be wearing one of my Troy T-shirts that read, "70% of the earth is covered by water and all the rest is covered by Troy!" On my way to exercise class.

On my pillow.

Best Polamalu sighting yet, a little girl (circa 3 y.o.?) in her black and gold #43 with a tutu.

I did also. Particularly liked the older gentleman and the little girl. Did like when Troy scared the 3 adult women at the same time. He knew how to handle each situation he was presented with.

I was a "HUGE" Franco Harris fan back in the day. Well atually I still am. But Franco, I think I'm in love again. At least he's a Steeler. I wish I could have been there. That was some of the funniest stuff I've seen in a while. Priceless. This young man is truly humble. I just love his sense of humor. He "wasn't " tryin' to give anyone a heart attack. It appears he was just out havin' fun. Love it, love it, love it. Way to go Troy. Life.

Hi TeeSC; I knew nothin' 'bout football. My sister asked had I seen Frank O'Harris ( so I figured). Saw Franco and instantly came a "devout" Steelers fa. The fact that they could play as well. Ah yes. Seems like only yesterday. So nice to meet another "experienced" fan. Life.
