For Anita Hill, The Clarence Thomas Hearings Haven't Really Ended

Twenty years ago, when Anita Hill returned home from the contentious Senate hearings during which she accused Clarence Thomas of sexual harassment, people told her not to worry — her name would be forgotten in a matter of months.

But two things have become clear this week as she has re-entered the debate: The raw tensions over race, gender and politics raised by the hearings have not been forgotten. And Anita Hill is acting like a woman who wants her name remembered.

She was amazing. One of the most credible witness to ever testify. How that guy got on the bench is a wonder.

He did all and said all she said he did. I believed her THEN. Then, too, there's another woman that his constituency elected NOT to call during his confirmation hearings because she would have been the nail in his coffin. She was subpoenaed, but she was never called.

It's eye-opening, especially for those who quickly treated Anita Hill as a man-hating throwaway. I'm proud of Anita Hill for calling him to the carpet. ...doesn't matter that he rode away on it right into confirmation. It matters that she spoke up. For that, I thank her.

Let's see they pounded President Clinton every day he woke up while in office and likewise with our President Obama the day he was elected. That's why they declared him a 1 term President. If everything Hill said about Thomas was true and everything alleged about Clinton was false -- and only those things that Clinton himself admitted to were true -- that would mean that Thomas never touched Hill but Clinton had sexual contact wirh an underling.

I believe her as well. Clarance Thomas did exactly what she said he did or more. He is sitting on the Supreme Court by virtue of his race. What a waste of a Supreme Court judgeship.
