Michelle Obama Makes ESPN SportsCenter Top 10 Plays (VIDEO, PHOTOS)

Goooooooaaaaaal!

The only reward that First Lady Michelle Obama was seeking when she hosted members of the U.S. Women's National Soccer Team and a number of children on the White House lawn for the Let's Move! footy event on Thursday were some healthier little ones and some well-intentioned publicity for her healthy choices passion project.

And because she's the beloved FLOTUS, well, that publicity thing wasn't too hard to drum up.

Not only were there photographers galore at the event, videographers captured the scene, too. And then turned over some footage to ESPN, who decided that it was worthy of its Top 10 plays on Thursday night. How, exactly, there were nine plays better than this one, we're not sure (aside from the Yankees losing, of course!), but at least we get to see our tee and capri-rocking Michelle kicking round the soccer ball with the best in the world.

I posted my personal opinion the other day, which in fact, was the truth about Mr. and MRS. Obama...but the moderators decided not to print the truth, and deleted my post. This post of Huffington is supposed to reveal an impartail gleaning of the people's opinion, but they would rather show a political siding towards the government.

Par for the course around here.

The headline could be "Michelle Obama Breathes Air", and there'd still be venomous insults about her body and lies about her "spending more taxpayer money than any FLOTUS in history", blah, blah, blah.

We know why people come on here to post negative comments. The limited intelligence they have is spent mostly watching Fox News, in between taking short breaks away they come here. Feel sorry for them the World has moved on and most of us are not full of hate and anger. The First Lady is doing an amazing job and long may she continue.

She displayed some nice footwork and control on the agility drills. I bet Rush could never move like that in life.
Way to promote youth activity and athletics; Futbol is an excellent sport and you really only need a ball and everyone can play.

Trying to figure out if all the negative comments here about this wonderful lady are due to the posters' problems with her gender, her race, or her goal to get their obese children off the sofa and outside getting exercise. Probably all three.

You know, I can't for the life of me understand why people come on a thread that highlights Michele Obama's very positive focus on increasing children's activity levels and post nasty and rude comments about her. It's just fine to dislike her husband and his politics, and there are plenty of forums where you can do precisely that. However, to come on this thread where you would logically write about her childhood health campaign, soccer, or the U.S. Women's National team for the sole purpose of being ugly says more about the posters than it does about Michele Obama. I'm not even a supporter of Barak Obama, but this kind of nastiness serves no useful purpose.

Well, she is popular with ME! I love it that the First Lady has taken on this epidemic of obesity and diabetes and is encouraging gardening, eating fresh vegetables and fruits, and moving to keep weight off. Thank you, Mrs. Obama!

I agree! She is a gracious lady and she loves not only her own children, but other children as well. She cares about them enough to try to put a stop to the obesity which leads to diabetes. What a lot of people fail to realize, is that diabetes causes a host of other problems, such as heart disease, and is definitely high on the list of secondary causes of death in this country.

exactly dmarrs, 47 percent on the dole and pay no tax .. while they hate all the producers that actually pay taxes to a government that uses the money for self promotion ..
